How can I be sure that my ad is working to its fullest potential (i.e.: maximum exposure)?
1) NYYP's primary mission is to symbolize and, moreover, promote, through effective marketing tools at our, and, thusly translucently our clients', disposal, businesses/entities over the internet; the fastest growing marketing medium bar-none (when compared with other marketing vehicles, fairly-gauged cost-compaisons, whilst considering potential demographic target-markets). Our marketng team is at your disposal to this end. You should:
- Review your listing; ensuring accuracy of business name, address & phone number(s).
- Verify that your business category(/ies) are fairly representative within your tartget-market niche.
- Consider capitalizing on available value-added features offered by NYYP (slogans, logos, web-links, etc).
2) NYYP spends exponentially more than any single business/entity than we charge our clients in any given fiscal year in order to ensure our clients are at the top of the most popular/renowned web-based search engines! We do so so you don't have to; this is our "raison-d'etre" (reason for being).
3) When contracting with NYYP, clients are afforded a unique ID + PIN, thus allowing them virtual and un-restricted access to their personal listing. Secure your PIN! Ensure that only the appropriate personnel at your business can access your advertising account with NYYP. Equally conscious in thought when planning and spending your advertising dollars, so-should your advertising PIN with NYYP not be mishandled or misplaced!
4) Promotional listings have no guaranteed longevity. Non-contractual or unpaid contracted listings may "fall off-site"; determinant solely, and, with all rights reserved, at the discretion of NYYP. Businesses having a contractual arrangement/obligation with NYYP must remedy complete restitution in any commitment (i.e.: remuneration in any obligated contract) in order for NYYP to guarantee continued "on-site" representation.
Who is NewYork-YP (NYYP)?
I'd like to submit an image on your home page. How do I go about it?
Like all throughout New York, we too are proud of the vast landscapes (both natural and developed) throughout the state. If you have photo(s) which you would like to submit, please do so by emailing us (info@NewYork-YP) and attach your ".jpg" file(s) for our consideration. Photos of a "corporate" nature (i.e.: a casual or overt reprensentation of your own business) would necessitate a marketing agent to get back to you in order to discuss fees associated with your submission. If you are a proud member within your business community and would like to market yourself aggressively or have awesome images you believe others would enjoy, express yourself through your image-submission for all to appreciate!
What if I have a dispute?
1) My listing is wrong
- If you have a promotional listing, contact our offices via email.
- Priority is lent to contracted clients who may contact us via email or telephone (see Contact us). The majority of clients opt to update their listing(s) personally with the full control afforded them with a uniquely assigned ID & PIN.
2) I want my listing removed
- Email us (see Contact us). Be sure to include your name, title, company name, phone number & any contract or reference number(s) as they may relate to your business relationship with us. For security reasons, an NYYP representative will contact you in order to appropriate your position within your enterprise.
- Clients having a contractual arrangement with NYYP may elect to alter, delete, suspend and/or re-invoke their listing at any given time (throughout the time-span embodied in said contract). A listing deletion/suspension (either at the request of you or at the discretion of NYYP) does not absolve delinquent clients of their fiscal obligation to us.
3) I don't agree with the charges on my invoice
- The balance-due is erroneous or doesn't reflect a recent payment.
- Mailings are monthly and your statement may not represent a recent payment. Clients may contact our customer service (Contact us) to verify receipt of payments.
- After 10 business days (i.e.: 2 weeks), if your payment has not been processed, you should consider that it has not and will not be processed by us (under no malice or ill-intent to process your payment in a timely manner by NYYP). Contact our customer service for alternate payment options.
- I did not contract with NYYP for the service(s) as prescribed on my invoice
- I may be mistaken, so I would like proof of contract.
- Contact us and an agent will provide you with proof of contract.
- An un-authorized member of my staff ordered your services without my consent (as an owner/signing officer or marketing agent).
- NYYP, as any other potential creditor, is required under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines to ensure non-ambiguity when contracting with any potential entity (consumer or business).
- We, at NYYP exercise due-diligence when attempting to purport intent in any sale of our services (click About Electronic Contracts for more information about these laws).
I don't know or forgot my ID or PIN. How may I acquire or reset it?
- In the event that you are unknowing of, or have lost your ID or PIN, contact Customer Service. You will be required to authenticate your identification and verify that your designation, within your enterprise, affords you the allowance to appropriately represent same entity within which you purport you are sound and soundly-sanctioned to do so. Once verified, you will be instructed as to how to aquire, re-acquire or reset your ID or PIN from our customer service division. NYYP attempts to excercise due-dillegence when & where-ever contracting with any entity for its services. NYYP absolves itself from any mistakened, ill-willed, ill-gotten or unsanctioned representation at the free-will of any individual purporting to be sound & truant in their claim to be an adequate, appropriate and/or authorized member within same entity (more about this can be found under our Terms & Conditions
Why does my listing not appear?
- If you did not contract with NYYP in order to place your listing, we reserve the right to remove promotional listings at our sole discretion. In the case of a contracted listing, listings may be suspended for non-payment or failure to meet NYYP's Terms & Conditions.
Why is my listing incomplete/out-dated?
- NYYP acquires business listing details primarily from your local chamber-of-commerce and from other secondary resources. It is your responsibility to ensure an accurate listing representation. You can do this by choosing to edit your listing where it appears on our site (contact Customer Service if you do not know your ID or PIN).
Yellowpages, Superpages, Greenpages, Whateverpages... how do I know where to put my ad?
- The majority of businesses do business locally. Why list in a national campaign if your target-demographic is local? We are your resource for advertising locally. Many businesses opt for a multitude of advertising mediums (be it paper or electronic). NYYP strives to best-represent local businesses.
Does my online listing also add my listing in my local yellow book?
- No. We have no affiliation with any printed product or telephone service-provider.
Why is the info on NYYP different from the listings in my print phone book?
- NYYP's online listings allow for clients on-the-fly (adhoc) changes at each client's discretion. Print-listings are locked-in until the next distribution cycle of these publications. More and more businesses are dropping their print advertising and opting to list solely online in keeping with the ever-changing technologies readily available to the populace at large.
How do I modify my listing?
- Query your listing from our Home page and click on "edit" in order to make modifications suited to your needs. You'll be required to provide your ID & PIN (parlayed to you in promotional or contractual documents/invoices).
What does my listing include?
- Your business/entity name, address, up to three phone numbers (including fax number), 3 categories, web & e-mail listing + hyperlink, business slogan of up to 250 characters in a single-paragraph format and graphics logo (in BMP or GIF format which you must attach in an email request to us).
Can I be found on internet search-engines (ie: Google, Yahoo, etc)?
- We have no affiliation with web-search engines. We spend considerably more as a business-promotion medium than you otherwise potentially would to various search-engines so you don't have to (in order for you to be best-represented in these web-based search engines at our discretion).
Can I list without having an internet site or even internet access?
- We do the work for those who don't have a web-site or internet access. A correlation may be made in that you don't have your own printing-press but need to promote yourself to the masses (in the soon-defunct yellow-book medium). NYYP is specialized in the business of promoting your business; utilizing the most-advanced, modern and recently-proven marketing tools. We take care of busying your business in your community/market-niche.
Will I receive junk-mail because I'm listed?
- No. As part of our Terms & Conditions, no user or client may abuse the use of our web-site. If you do receive junk e-mail and believe it to be derived from source-data on our site, contact Customer Service.
